Privacy Policy

Last updated: 26 August 2026

Aile Herb (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website aileherb.com. We manufacture and export Chinese herbal raw materials, herbal tea bags, tea-in-cup products and postbiotic drinks to business customers worldwide.

This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it. We keep the amount of personal data we handle to the minimum needed to answer business enquiries.

1. Who is responsible for your data

Aile Herb is the data controller for information collected through this website.

Contact for any privacy question or request: [email protected]

Our manufacturing operations are located in Gansu, China. Data submitted through this website is processed in China and, where our service providers operate elsewhere, may be transferred to and stored in other countries. See section 6.

2. What we collect

Information you give us

When you submit our B2B quote enquiry form, we collect:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • The product category you are sourcing
  • The content of your message
  • Whether you have requested a sample Certificate of Analysis

If you contact us directly by email, we receive whatever information you choose to include in that message, including any company details or signature block.

We do not ask for, and you should not send us, sensitive personal information such as health data, government identification numbers, or payment card details through this website.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our web server and analytics tools record technical information when you visit, which may include your IP address, browser type and version, device type, the pages you view, the time of your visit, and the site that referred you.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies. Cookies are small text files stored on your device.

  • Essential cookies keep the site working — for example, remembering your cookie preferences. These cannot be switched off.
  • Analytics cookies help us understand which pages are useful to visitors, in aggregate.

You can manage your preferences through the cookie consent tool on our site, and you can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may affect how the site works.

3. Why we use your information

We use the information described above only for these purposes:

PurposeWhat this means in practice
Responding to your enquiryPreparing a quotation, sending product specifications or a sample COA, answering questions
Managing a business relationshipFollowing up on an enquiry, handling orders, providing after-sales support
Improving our websiteUnderstanding which content visitors find useful, fixing technical problems
Meeting legal obligationsKeeping records required by trade, tax or export regulations

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

We will only send you marketing or promotional messages if you have asked to receive them, and every such message will include a way to unsubscribe.

Where the UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies to you, we rely on:

  • Legitimate interests — responding to a business enquiry you initiated, and operating and securing our website
  • Performance of a contract — where you become a customer
  • Consent — for non-essential cookies, and for any marketing email
  • Legal obligation — where record-keeping is required by law

4. Who we share information with

We share personal information only where necessary, and only with:

  • Service providers who help us run the website and our email — for example website hosting, email delivery and analytics providers. They may only process data on our instructions.
  • Logistics and testing partners, where an order or a sample shipment requires it, and only the details needed to complete that task.
  • Professional advisers and authorities, where we are required to disclose information by law, or where it is necessary to establish or defend legal claims.

5. How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that do not become orders: normally deleted within 24 months of the last contact.
  • Customer and transaction records: retained for as long as required by applicable trade, tax and export record-keeping rules.
  • Website analytics: retained in aggregated form; individual-level records are kept no longer than 26 months.

You can ask us to delete your information sooner — see section 7.

6. International transfers

We are based in China and we serve customers in many countries. If you are located in the UK, EU, EEA or another region with data transfer rules, your information will be transferred outside that region when you contact us.

Where such a transfer takes place, we take steps appropriate to the sensitivity of the information — which here is limited business contact information voluntarily submitted for the purpose of receiving a reply. If you would prefer not to have your information transferred, please do not use the enquiry form; you may contact us by other means and tell us your preference.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete
  • Delete your information
  • Object to or restrict how we use it
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent
  • Receive a copy of information you provided to us, in a portable format
  • Complain to your local data protection authority

To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. We will respond within one month. We may ask you to confirm your identity before we act on a request, to make sure we do not disclose information to the wrong person.

We do not charge a fee for handling these requests in normal circumstances.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the information we hold, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) on this website and restricted access to enquiry records. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children

This website is intended for business users. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Our website may link to third-party websites, including our social media profiles. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. We encourage you to read their privacy policies.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. If we make a material change, we will make that clear on this page.
