Chinese Herbs Quality Control Process
Our Chinese herbs quality control process runs from the moment raw herbs arrive to the moment a sealed pallet leaves the floor. Every batch is inspected, tested, documented and released against fixed criteria — backed by an in-house lab and 12 QC inspectors.
Quality Control Built Into Every Step
At Aile Herb, quality control isn’t a single checkpoint at the end. It runs through the whole operation — sourcing, incoming inspection, in-process control, finished-product testing, release and pre-shipment inspection. The system is built around GMP (GB 14881) and HACCP, operated by 12 QC inspectors and 3 licensed pharmacists, and supported by an in-house laboratory with a Shimadzu HPLC.
The result is simple: every batch is sampled, tested, documented and released against defined acceptance criteria, and every shipment carries its own Certificate of Analysis.

Our 5-Stage Quality Control Process
Incoming Raw Herb Inspection
Every batch of raw herbs is sampled and inspected on arrival — checked for identity, origin documentation, moisture, foreign matter, and visual quality before it is accepted into production.
In-Process Quality Contro
During cutting, sorting, drying, and processing, our QC team monitors critical control points in line with GMP and HACCP requirements to keep every step within specification.
Finished Product Inspection
Finished herbal slices are tested against Chinese Pharmacopoeia (Ch.P. 2020) standards — including identity, active marker content by HPLC, moisture, ash, and appearance.
Release Testing & Documentation
Each batch undergoes release testing covering heavy metals, pesticide residues, microbial limits, and sulfur dioxide residue.
Pre-Shipment Inspection
Before shipment, every batch is reviewed against acceptance criteria and released by QA. Export documentation and COA travel with the goods — and remote or third-party pre-shipment inspection can be arranged on request.
Inspection Standards & Acceptance Criteria
| Tert tem | Method / Standard | Stage |
| Identity verification | Ch.P. 2020 / organoleptic + HPLC | Incoming + Finished |

A Quality Management System You Can Audit
Our quality control process operates inside a certified quality management system — FDA-registered, HACCP (CQC), ISO 9001/14001/45001/50001 and food GMP (GB 14881). What that means for you is concrete:

Every Batch, Fully Traceable
Quality control and traceability work together. Each batch carries a unique code linked to its source warehouse, processing record and test results — so any finished product traces back to origin. If a question ever comes up about a lot, we don’t guess; we pull the code and follow it back. Complete batch documentation, including COA, ships with every order.
Quality Control Process — FAQ
Q: What is the quality control process for Chinese herbs?
A: The Chinese herbs quality control process covers five stages — incoming raw herb inspection, in-process control, finished-product testing, release testing for contaminants, and pre-shipment inspection. At Aile Herb each stage follows GMP and HACCP, and every batch is released with a Certificate of Analysis.
Q: How are Chinese herbs quality controlled before export?
A: Before export, every batch is tested for identity, active markers, heavy metals, pesticides, microbial limits and sulfur dioxide. QA reviews the results against acceptance criteria and releases the batch with full documentation and a COA. Remote or third-party pre-shipment inspection can also be arranged.
Q: Does Aile Herb provide a COA for every batch?
A: Yes. Every batch is released with its own Certificate of Analysis documenting that specific lot’s results, and is traceable to its source warehouse.
